World Confectionery Conference just three weeks away

We’re now just three weeks away from our latest edition of our World Confectionery Conference, with the anticipation surrounding the event continuing to build, as we set about hosting an event that will showcase some of the brightest and best developments across the sector.

On a personal note, many thanks are due to all those who have registered to attend so far – if you’ve not done so already, I would urge you to do so within the next week to ensure your place at what is shaping up to be another particularly special occasion, with the event being hosted at the Harrogate Convention Centre, Yorkshire, on 5 October. You can register with this direct link here.

Similarly, thank you to everyone who put an awards entry in for our World Confectionery Awards, which experienced something of a flurry of entries just ahead of our deadline, which was a very welcome sight indeed. From smaller-sized independent businesses, through to major corporations, it was especially pleasing to see the breadth of this year’s nominations, which have posed our judging panel with a real test in discerning the respective winners from a distinguished field.

With this year’s World Confectionery Conference themes being centred around business resilience, sustainability and innovation, those varied entries for this year’s accolades really did reflect an industry that is clearly confident in its abilities, so good luck to everyone who entered this year.

So, on a final note, as regards the conference itself, we genuinely hope to see as many of you as possible there next month Harrogate for our event, which will place a number of aspects of the sector in the spotlight. From equipment developments, finished product and ingredients releases, through to wider policy, technology and supply chain issues, such as the critical cocoa sector, it’s certainly going to provide plenty of engaging talking points.

Thanks is also to all those who are speaking throughout the day, including representatives from Nestle, Cargill, Caobisco, Ferrero, MacIntyre Chocolate Systems, Ritter Sport, Ghana Cocoa Board, York Cocoa House, FMCG Gurus, Fairtrade, Cama Packaging, Luker Chocolate, Plamil, GNT, Baker Perkins, Sweetdreams and Farmforce, rounding off an extremely strong line-up for this years show. Here’s hoping you enjoy it.
